CalFresh is part of the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)/food stamps program helping eligible low-income people to purchase the food they need.
Students can meet with a representative from the OC Second Harvest Food Bank on campus at the FRESH Basic Needs Hub to help with the application process. Students may qualify if they are a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident, enrolled at least half time as a student and they meet one of the following conditions: employed at least 20 hours a week, already receive work-study or CalWorks, receive CalGrant A/B, care for a young child, or do not intend to register for the next school term.

In collaboration with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, the UCI Mobile Food Pantry gives away fresh fruits and vegetables on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00AM-11:00AM (Santa Ana) and the third Friday of each month at 4:00PM-9:00PM (Anaheim).
